About Our Company

We've been proudly serving Central Texas since 1984 - that's over 40 years of building quality decks, patios, pergolas, and outdoor structures. The company was founded as a family business, and now the second generation leads day-to-day operations. The whole team ensures every project meets the high standards that built our reputation.

Yes, we are fully insured. Texas does not require a contractor's license for deck and patio construction, but we carry comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage to protect you and your property. We're happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

We serve the Austin metro and Central Texas, including Austin, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, Taylor, Jarrell, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, Lago Vista, Jonestown, and Dripping Springs. Our shop is in Liberty Hill at 2401 Co Rd 258.

No. We use our own experienced crews from start to finish. The same team that starts your project will complete it. This ensures consistent quality and accountability throughout the build process.

Project Planning

Deck costs vary based on size, materials, and complexity. A basic 200 sq ft pressure-treated deck starts around $12,000-$16,000. Mid-size composite decks (300-400 sq ft) typically run $20,000-$30,000. Large multi-level or pool decks can range from $35,000-$65,000+. We provide detailed, transparent quotes with no hidden fees.

Most deck projects take 2-4 weeks from start to completion. Covered patios and larger structures may take 3-5 weeks. The permit approval process adds 2-4 weeks before construction begins. We'll provide a detailed timeline during your consultation.

Yes, most deck and patio projects in Central Texas require building permits. Any deck over 30 inches above grade, larger than 200 sq ft, or attached to the house needs a permit. We handle all permit applications and inspections as part of our standard service - you never have to visit a city office.

Absolutely. We've worked with hundreds of HOAs across Central Texas and understand their requirements. We prepare all architectural submission materials and design to meet community standards while giving you the outdoor space you want.

Materials & Quality

For most Central Texas homeowners, we recommend composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, or Fiberon) because it handles our extreme heat and UV exposure well, requires minimal maintenance, and comes with up to 50-year manufacturer warranties. For those who prefer natural wood, we suggest Ipe or Western Red Cedar. We'll discuss options and help you choose what's best for your needs and budget.

We provide a 1-year workmanship warranty on all our work - in writing. This covers the quality and integrity of our installation. Your materials also carry their own manufacturer warranties, which can be up to 50 years on premium composite decking. We stand behind our work and have been honoring warranties for 40+ years.

We build with both! We offer pressure-treated pine, Western Red Cedar, exotic hardwoods like Ipe, and all major composite brands. Each material has its advantages - we'll help you understand the pros, cons, and costs so you can make an informed decision.

Pricing & Payment

We typically require a deposit to secure your spot on our schedule and order materials. The remaining balance is due upon project completion. We accept checks and credit cards. We never require full payment upfront.

Yes - what we quote is what you pay. We've been doing this for 40 years and know how to estimate accurately. We don't lowball to win the job and then "find surprises" that add thousands. Our detailed quotes include everything: materials, labor, permits, and cleanup.

The Build Process

Our crew arrives on time, works efficiently, and cleans up daily. We communicate proactively about progress and any questions. Most homeowners are surprised by how smooth and low-stress the process is. We respect your property and minimize disruption to your daily life.

Yes, completely. We pull all required permits, schedule inspections, and ensure everything passes code. It's all included in your project - you never have to visit a city office or coordinate with inspectors.

We stand behind our work. If any issues arise, call us and we'll make it right. Our workmanship warranty means we're committed to your satisfaction, and your materials carry their own manufacturer warranties. We've been in business since 1984 because we take care of our customers.
